Effective through January 6, 2009, all volumes of the “Wooden Flute Obsession” CDs are on sale. If you are doing any holiday shopping, please consider that U.S. Postal Service transit times might be slower than at other times of the year, and allow time for Customs processing (orders shipping outside the U.S.).
Track lists, Artist details, sound samples, flutes used, etc. are at the WORLDTRAD.ORG site.
No, as the tracks remain in the ownership of the participants, I would need to go back to everyone (120 contracts or so) to get this additional permission. I may try to get permission for additional tracks (alternate sets that may have been recorded), for free play on Myspace.
I’m unsure how to manage WFO4 in this regard. I believe I will stick with the physical CD.
I think these CDs are great, and well worth the money. As someone relatively new to the flute, I have learned a great deal about the differences in sounds and styles among the various players, and it has helped me figure out who I want to hear more of. It really exposes you to a wide range of styles. I listen to them all the time. (For a while, I kept the third set wrapped because the first four CDs were so good I wanted to save it as something to look forward to!)
Thanks for mentioning that. Each volume is approx. 2 hours & 20 minutes each (70+ minutes per disc). Over 40 different flute players per volume = 120+ all told.
Now, how about some comments over on the MySpace Music page, and let’s suck in that audience!
