An indian ebony full set is for sale! The whole instrument was made on the bases of Leo Rowsome’s parameters, from indian ebony, imitation ivory and brass. It is the first completed instrument of the year. With the instrument, a chanter is included, only, not the same that is supplied in the pictures, but a very similar one without keys and stopkey. Bellows are not included.
In case of serious intention to purchase, I can send a series of photos illustrating the creation of the instrument, step by step. Price is: 3400 euros. For the sake of the safe transportation, I would ask 100 euros for the delivery in Europe, and 150 euros out of Europe. Sound track is coming soon.

The chanter in the last three pictures are the ones which are within the set, you can hear this in the sound track. I can send you bellows, for plus 200 euros.
I just bought one of Richard’s ebony chanters (posted early on this forum) and it sounds amazing! You will not be disapointed with the masterful craftsmanship.
As an owner of drones and regulators by Richard I would buy this set in an instant if I was in the market for a new D full set. Highly recommended!!! Anyone feel free to PM me if you want to talk to an existing customer of his. This set is a masterpiece.
Well the chanter sounds fine and in tune, but the regs are way out of tune here, although being a live outside performance this could be due to adverse weather conditions, playing way too fast too, could be performance nerves. Even so I’m impressed by Richard’s piping and also his pipe making judging by the photos I’ve seen and video clips It’s good that a new generation of craftsmen/women are emerging making quality instruments such as Richard Patkos, Evertjan t’Hart, Tim & Stephanie Benson, Derrick Gleeson, Brian Bigley etc.
When I see such a post I always think:“Wow, I want to have this now!“. As I am still struggling to cover the holes of my chanter sometimes, it might be not such a good idea. So I kinda have the same problem as joconnor. And then there is my budget too. But this seems to be an amazing opportunity to get a really nice looking and sounding set.
Ahh, there is always the temptation to live very economical in the next time.
