CP: Found a little treasure trove while moving

I made 'em last summer and they kind of got lost in the shuffle

I have 5 Village Smithy whistles and 1 old style brass Viper, all soprano D, that I can ship before I move. Everybody knows the Village Smithy, and a good number of you played and liked the Viper before I discontinued it, because they’re just too much work to build and sell for a reasonable price.

So, you can have one, or the lot. Selling them out for $60US each, including shipping anywhere in the USA, or $65 if international. All new, all bang on tune, all good volume and voice.

PayPal only, please, to sales@serpentmusic.com

This is the last commercial post from me for at least 2 more months, and the site is presently on hiatus, so if you want one, I suggest you get it now. First come, first served. I will post the number remaining on the site daily until they’re all gone, or I am.
Thanks, best wishes,

Good luck on your move, Bill. We have moved twice in the last 6 months and it is NOT fun.[/b]

But it can be fun once you get settled and start exploring your new neighborhood.

My main bit of advice is to try to note box contents with as much detail as possible, and don’t store any boxes on arrival without opening them first, unless you are dead sure of exactly what’s in them. We only recently finished unpacking everything after six months in the new house, and I found all sorts of things that I had been wanting and couldn’t find, because they had been stored in unopened boxes when we moved to Salinas four years ago. (Like Earl Scruggs and the 5-String Banjo.)

The other thing is to personally pack all of your personal stuff. With everything unpacked, I still never found the battery charger for my camera. It should have been in with my office telephone and all the computer network junk that my son packed after my wife and I left for Texas, but it never showed up, so I’ve finally had to break down and buy a new one. As a result, I’ve missed a good part of the development of a nice wasp nest over the back door. :sniffle:
