Due to a couple of threads lately asking for ways to get the chords to many tunes, I decided it was time to remind everyone that the NEMOFOTMAD Chord Book, “An Amazingly Accessible Annotated Accompaniment Archive!” is still available.
I produce this book from start to finish, all by my little ol’ lonesome (oh, alright, I do let the local printer cut the pages for me, but I do everything else!), and will gladly provide you with one for the paltry fee of $24.95 including shipping in North America, and only $5 additional to the rest of the world.
Volume 2 is beginning to take shape. If you have a tune to suggest/request to be included in an upcoming edition, just let me know, and I’ll try to get it in.
I think the tune called Squirrel Heads and Gravy would be worth the price of the book alone.
Oh, you know I read an article somewhere that said it wasn’t a good idea to eat squirrel heads because there was some concern about that disease that is related to Mad Cow disease—I can’t remember what it is called, but squirrel brains are being investigated for those particles or whatever causes that spongiform brain disease I guess. Gee, I didn’t mean to be a spoil-sport. It’s just that once I mentioned the name of the song, then I felt I had to pass along that caution.
What a nice CD. Really nice variety in the tunes. They are really generous with their clips—over 2 minutes long. I’m listening to all of them. Thanks for that link, SteveK!
Oh this is awesome! I have ordered your book. I have a lot of these tunes in a binder. They’re xeroxes of xeroxes of xeroxes of… Some of them are written by hand. They’re so hard to read. It will be great to have them all with chords. I’m learning the mountain dulcimer. This will be my dulcimer tutor.
