Concerning Hobbits

My kids say

“GREATEST THREAD EVER!!!”"

Needless to say, they are enormous LOTR fan(atics.)

We’ve already ordered the flute book for Wesley.

Right now, Anita thinks that this music sounds “way cooler” on her “Drainpipe” (Kerry/Chieftan/Lunasa low D) than on her high D.

But just wait until she opens her birthday present… then we’ll see.

Fortunately, Wesley’s flute teacher is great about helping the kids to work out transposing and arranging flute/whistle duets.

If anyone knows of other sources for LOTR whistle and/or flute music, PLEASE let us know. (The kids can sight read like champs so it doesn’t have to be dots.)

It’s confirmed, our guess was right :sunglasses:

Later on I received the following reply to an email I sent to Houston Orchestra (always go to the source :stuck_out_tongue: ):

_Robert Chadwick played these parts with the Houston Symphony.
