My last commercial post was on December 6,2007 http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?t=55639
I have been working on a new whistle with a cpvc head and brass tone tube in the key of D. It has a delrin plug secured with a plastic pin on the bottom. The wind way is crescent or D in shape, and tapered to provide a smooth air stream across the window. The small window about 3/16’’ or less provides a less than medium or quiet volume. Play it while watching TV, and not worry about your ears ringing later. Starting price is $21.00 plus mailing of your choice. Click the red X for a look.
The red X can be seen with Internet Explorer. On Firefox, it looks like a little red diamond on a reverse L. Not sure what that’s supposed to represent.
I mailed your A, and Bb whistle today. Do you know how many Bb whistles you have now? Finished playing in your new whistles with one last tune, ‘‘Off to California’’.
Wow Fearfaoin, it has been a long time since you critic-ed one of my post for grammar/content. I almost thought I was doing it correct by now.
So anyway, I removed the[;]. Did it help? Thank you for restoring my faith in C&Fers that someone will come along, and help bring the standard of of quality up to a tolerable level so that all may learn, enjoy, share the exciting world of whistles along with good fellowship, comaradery, enjoyment, mental exercise, and sharing the universal language of music.
Oh, and I just did a prview and this came up when I put these ( )around this ; so that is why I used [;]
You used ‘of’ twice in the second paragraph before the word quality. There is not an aposthrophy in camaraderies. No need for a comma before using ‘and’ in the last line of the second paragraph. It should be “Oh, I…”, not “Oh, and I…”. You left an ‘e’ out of preview.
That was fun.
Now I’m going to check out your whistle prices.
And BTW, I have a unique opportunity going on right now. I have both whistles from the Anderson Tour and your tour. Do I compare them or do I treat them as if I never saw the other? Stay tuned.
Thank you Mike for your concern about my grammar and lack of a visible web site. Currently my web sites are ebay, C&F, and of course the best site, referrals by satisfied whistlers. I have been able to keep my prices down with twenty years experience in a machine shop environment. Using one machine per step with set ups, jigs and stops that leave out error, and use time effectively. Come on by some time, and we will make a whistle or do some carving.
