Last week’s episode has a clip of Liam O’Flynn playing the Ennis Coyne set at approx. 4:30.
Here’s a link to the programme. It shows up at 5:30 for me Peej.

Last night there was an interesting bit of footage from an outing of the Pipers Club from 1949. Young Willie Clancy among a lot of others (the movie was silent but had some Rowsome playing dubbed in). Any ideas who the fella with the wild looking hair was Willie was playing a duet with?
Must be because you’re in a different time zone. ![]()
Lovely.
No, but I was surprised not to see Leo Rowsome. Did I miss him?
The piper to his left is Sean Seery. I think the piper to his left again is Tom Rowsome.
Tommy
Thanks for that Tommie. I don’t know why but I seem to have a bit of a blind spot when it comes to Sean Seery.
Same here, I didn’t even think of Sean Seery, thought it could have been a young Tommy Reck with a fag instead of a pipe. An interesting film clip I didn’t expect. I’ve always hoped that someone may have filmed or wire recorded Johnny Doran at some point during the 1940’s.
There is a CD with Johnny Doran for sale at NPU made from material from arround 1948.
Another clip of L.O’Floinn playing the Ennis Coyne set…somewhat interesting context given the
program…

I don’t know, plenty of pipers (and makers) entertain the black dog more or less regularly
