Made 67 dollars in three hours or so,
Christmas Carols, Susato C whistle,
one effort to steal from my tip
jar.
This is an old Susato C, loud and pure without
being shrill, just wonderful for Christmas
Carols.
Santa came out of the Farmer’s Market
in full regalia, white beard, red suit,
a belt covered with bells which he
shook as I played ‘Santa Claus is coming to town!’
Merry Christmas everybody!

Beats the heck out of minimum wage and fun to boot.
I sure here they would call it something other than busking.
It’s really tough sometimes,
and sometimes it’s really great.
I suppose what makes the difference
is how much money I’m making.
Also blowing for a couple of hours really
takes it out of me.
It’s a great opportunity to watch people.
You know, there seem to be a whole lot
of white folks with negro children
in St. Louis. Cool!
Wow!, - now take a bit of aluminum strip like the draft stoppers for your doors, attach a plastic jar to the end with bolt and nut and use for tips, place one foot on the end of the aluminum to keep the tips from disappearing.
Or get a trained monkey. 
No way am I giving a gun to a monkey.
I don’t care how well it is trained!
Last Sunday , I put on my Santa Outfit. Yes , I have a Santa outfit , need a fancier one though . This one was only about 40$$ But the old and young dont mind.
Me in my costume my 11yr. old daughter and my wife went to a nearby nursing home. We went to talk to them , just wish them well and play a few tunes for them. My daughter was a little nervous about playing in front of these strangers , but I told her if you miss some notes they wont know or care. Well we both missed some notes , and they didnt care. Kinda lets you see how well you know a tune to play it in front of strangers instead of on the couch.
But it was great!! Someof the folks were so happy to get a visitor they cried. We played for a little group of them , and then walked the halls to say Merry Christmas to thoise awake. I asked one lady if we could play her a Christmas song and she said" that ok, I already know them all"
Bottom line, I know this isnt really busking but we did go away with a real blessing. And it took so little from us and gave so much back.
