Hey, I just discovered that nice PMs I had sent to various folk never made it out of the Outbox at the PM center. At Forum support, this was discussed but nobody ever answered the issue.
To everyone, don’t assume your PMs are being sent. Best wishes to Mike Burke, Carmel Gunning, Bevoi and Aremnius. To each of you, I sent a note after some Forum thrashing. Either that, or check your @#$ messages and maybe they will move to my Sentbox.

look at that! I just found unsent PMs too! I would imagine they are unread ones as some are quite old.
I thought messages stood in the Outbox as long as the recipient didn’t check his own Inbox.
Then if this person seldom posts, he has no reason to log in; since you get notified of pending PMs only if you did log in, then you don’t know.
I check my Outbox from time to time, when I wonder about a message progress.
But I guess you know all this already, don’t you?
I had just sent a PM prior to reading this thread. When checking the Outbox, there it was. I checked the sent box and not there so maybe Zube is on to something here.
Praps an email would be the most reliable way to get important messages out?

The folks with whom I correspond via PM are fairly prompt; I haven’t had any indication of problems with the setup here.
Well, now I know who doesn’t check their messages.
When I want to just lurk (yeah, right) I only hit the “Log in to check your private messages” function. That way I can stay veiled AND informed. I imagine that this sort of thing has something to do with the occasional “XXX: check your private messages” post.
Nany, why do you need to be veiled? Is this like a porn site or something? Nyuk.
