Chiff and Fipple Family values

It is 1:00 o’clock at night. Most of my biologic family are no longer on the planet. However, I feel that the people who view and post on the Chiff and Fipple are actually the people that matter most to me and feel like family to me. My neighbor with the barking dogs doesn’t have any idea who I am. I really don’t have much in common with him. But the good people on this site do. I appreciate the internet for this. I also appreciate Dale for creating this webspace.

It is so nice to have someplace where (a) I can say (well, write) what I think when I think of it instead of having to wait to speak until a commercial (beause heaven forbid my husband should miss some of the deathless prose on Survivor or any TV show!) and (b) there are people who understand my references, especially to songs, without my having to explain those things.

Jeepers Doug, you’re a night owl!

Guilty conscience?

No kids!

It’s 10:59 AM and it’s way past my bedtime.

I agree 10,004.99%.

You’re welcome.

It turns out Chiff & Fipple has not always been here. It was the product of intelligent design.

Well, it was design anyway.

I’m trying to work the words “noodly” and “appendage” into a response, but it’s just not working out…

I think you just did. :really:

Your family’s been abducted by aliens as well?

just one of the many things many of us have in common…

My thanks to Dale as well. He’s a swell guy.
Here’s to you Dale.

What big ears you have, Amar.

Doug, that’s the perfect time of night to be in the chat room! You think the atmosphere is friendly on the board - just wait until Alan zings you with a pun or too and Moonlight knits you up a rum-laced hot toddy (she’s a whiz with the knitting needles). It gets downright cozy! (I think I just talked myself into a visit tonight…)
