Hi All

For those of you not able to get to Celtic Connections in Glasgow this coming January, this may be of interest.

If you are going - see you there

David

Thanks for this info BigDavy. I just posted this on the BBC folk message board:-

Celtic Connections 2006 – Is anything being Aired??

With the start of the Celtic Connections 2006 today I was wondering if anything at all over the next few weeks is being televised, broadcast or put on the Internet?
I know Mike Harding’s show is coming from there on 25th Jan. Apart from this I am particularly interested in.

Chris Stout Quintet with John McSherry’s
The Levellers
Steeleye Span
Liz Carroll & John Doyle
Lunasa
Fairport Convention
Dougie MaClean
Fiddlers Bid
Eddie Reader
Cherish the Ladies
Altan
Richard Thompson
Bruce Molsky
The Waterboys
Session A9

Oh isn’t it about time we had a digital Folk/Roots radio station here in the UK?

I should have dropped into the C&F first.
I will try http://www.celticmusicradio.org.uk when I get home tonight.
Have a good time in Glasgow. It must cost a small fortune to get to all these excellent gig’s.

Cheers

Mikk

hi all
Thursday 12th.
Late night Festival Club 1030 till very late. We left at 3.00am. the highlight was a wee friend I first met at a Pipers gathering in Wicklow 2000 and spent a night at the club last year - John McSherry with At First Light - great set - blew the crowd away, great fiddle and guitar also.
