CDs of slow airs.

For the last year or so I have been selling piping CDs online and this summer have started attending some of the local Highland Games to do live sales. At each of the games I’ve done so far I have had someone ask for an uilleann pipe CD that has plenty of slow airs on it. My current selection tends to have a selection of dance tunes with one or two airs in the mix. Does anyone know of CDs that have a higher proportion of slow tunes.

Thanks,

David Power’s new release, Cuaichín Ghleann Neifín, includes five “big” airs.

… and what a mighty recording it is.

Tomas O Canainn (sp?) put out something like “The Slow Airs of Ireland” some years ago. It was a four-cassette product as I recall. Don’t know if it made it to disk. All tunes played on a variety of instruments.

The winking smiley got me digging around to check it out and, to be honest, whilst it is possibly not what would be the biggest seller amongst readers here it might have been just what the people who asked for CDs with airs were after.
Having set up a business aimed at servicing a specialist market online and going to live events where those enthusiasts gather I am realising that at public events I still have to cater for those who want Pipe Band CDs only if they have Amazing Grace on and Irish piping that includes Danny Boy!

Thanks for all the replies and advise.
