Yeah, yeah, I know… Here we go again!
I just got the opportunity to get a keyed flute, so I need to “pay the piper” (I love her, I REALLY do!)
So, I’m selling my recently-acquired Casey Burns Low Bb in boxwood for the same price I paid a couple of months ago. First off, this is not one of the new low folk flutes - it is a “factory second”, so instead of $900(ish), I’m selling it for $550. I will even pick up the shipping (for CONUS). Since purchasing, I have returned it to Casey for additional sealing and it is now much better than new. The “second” status is due (I assume) to the presence of knots in the wood, which I actually find really beautiful. Oh yeah, it has the “session” embouchure cut.
I have broken it in meticulously and keep it in a humidified box when I’m not playing it, so it’s essentially perfect and broken it already - i.e. ready to play.
Finger stretch is nearly the same as a low D flute, but the shoulder rotation is a bit more.
I can email pictures if you are serious…
