I was thinking of getting one - does anyone have one or have played one-------- 
I looked into getting one from him early last year,
he emailed me back saying he wasn’t making any for the time being.
I think health problems and a house move were a major factor.

I’ve a friend selling a Bb Carl Bell flute. It’s got a lovely sound, I had it for quite a while. If interested just email me and I’ll get you connected.
That particular Bb flute is with me at the moment, and it is simply lovely. If I didn’t have an Olwell Bb already, it would be my flute. I will record clips for anyone interested in Gary’s Bell Bb.

Now that that’s out of the way, does anyone out there play one of Mr. Bell’s wooden (particularly one of his fruitwood) flutes in D and would care to comment on the sound and quality of construction— either here or via PM? I’ve never had the opportunity to see/hear one in person.
