Can anyone help re Yvon Le Coant's work?

I’m very seriously considering buying a blackwood flute from Yvon Le Coant of Brittany (he also makes quality whistles as well apparently).

Does anyone know anything about his work, if it’s up to scratch, etc? (Zoob knows him but is not a flautist and therefore not qualified by his own admission, but rates his whistles highly).

Nick

Wouldn’t this be better posted on the Flute Forum?

If someone would know there, it’s SylvainBarou.
Even if hearing him play turned me away from attempting flutes before eons: he’s too good. He also plays this awesome looking and sounding Swiss-made keyed flute.

So I stick to whistles. And Yvon Le Coant’s are to grab… before the word spreads. Their voicing is top-notch, balance good, worksmanship excellent, and the colour of their sound really distinctive.

He does all by himself, keyworks included, and sells only direct.

Now some will bicker they look like recorders–which they do no more, no less thans Swaynes or a blackwood/silver Sweetheart.

I tell this, and hope you’ll value the info just as hearing his true GPS location for a Boletus edulis mine from a mushroom hunter.
On second thought, that I won’t tell you.

Yep, I did Zub, both forums to make sure it got covered. I suppose if his whistles are as good as you say then his flutes will be too…
