Can anyone help me get started on this song?

Help. I’m a relative beginner and need help working out the whistle solo part on this song (Kevin Welch “I Feel Fine Today”). Here’s the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhwaiPJMuls

What key whistle should I be using? And can anyone help me with the fingering? If you can just get me started I can probably work out the rest, but as much help as you’re willing to offer is appreciated!

Song’s in G using a standard D whistle… first three notes G (XXXOOO), A (XXOOOO), B (XOOOOO). First phrase of intro works up to high G, then second’s all between high E and high B.
