C set hapiness

Well lads, in light of all the key of C chatter of late, it’s fitting to say
I’m enjoying my new(to me) C half set.

…may the flat set anointing of Liam O Flynn settle upon me..

…yah right

ps. it’s a McNichol set/ Ballard bellows
spruced up by the venerable B.C. Childress( a most excellent fellow)

YES SIR !
C sets are the heart of Irish Piping in my opinion, mellow sound, easy to reed and the Reeds aren’t as reactive to weather changes.
The only problem for some people is the wide stretch of the fingers in order to cover the finger holes…not a problem for my big mitts, thank the Piping deities !!!
Sean Folsom

yeah the stretch is a big one
it’s funny to play a C, then pick up a concert chanter..
