I’ve got a Burke lowD Al EZ, and I like it very much!

I’ve heard very many good things about the composite range.

Does anyone own both, aluminum and composite? I’d appreciate some comments on how they compare.

IMHO, the composites have a less “boring” sound. Something which makes them more “trad” sounding.
I have a Bb, and I’d love a low Eb.

couldn’t even find it in the net, of course there is ipratropium bromide, used against asthma, but I don’t think that was what he was referring to..

the burke low D EZ composite is my favourite whistle, i mostly play jigs and reels on it.
i feel the aluminiun would be more suited to play fast tunes on it since it’s tone is not as rich as the composite,
and i think the aluminium also takes a little less wind. but the latter doesn’t count for the smaller models.
but i simply love the sound of the composites and there feather weight.
i also prefere the EZ models because there’s an even stretch for both hands.
