I have to part with my Burke Al Pro low D, to raise funds to replace my favorite high D which disappeared after our last recording session (grrrr). It is nearly two years old but is pretty much in as-new condition – I haven’t taken it to sessions. It has a solid sound and is well in tune in all ranges, but its great strength is its glorious, clear high register. Its weakness (if it has one) is that it requires good finger stretch, and is prone to squeaking if you don’t seal the holes perfectly (says the guy with the thin bony fingers).
