building

Sometimes when I compose a thing,
Or build some work of art,
As long as it’s within my reach,
I pick that thing apart.

I always want to change it up,
It’s always in a flux.
I keep right on improving it,
Until the thing destructs!

How often in our daily walk,
We treat each other so.
How often in the spirit too
We just can’t let things go.

Fecked up again, eh? :really:

Indeed. Thanks Walden.

Umm, yes.

Why am I having an urge to get in a last word on this???

<Excellent, Walden!>

Universal truth…well spoken.

Thanks for the thought, my friend.

The hardest thing to learn in the visual arts when working on a painting is when to stop. When is the work done? When do you leave it to stand on it’s own. It is something that you can’t teach art students. It is something that comes with time and then the painting will tell you it is done. Learning to recognize that is the hardest about the visual arts.

Well said Walden!
