Bodhran metronome?

I was thinking how cool it would be if, for practising, I could find a couple of 4-5 minute bodhran solos in mp3 format, one in reel time, one in jig time. With current Media Player technology, you could slow it down or speed it up at will, getting the effect of a metronome but a little more inspiring. Anybody know of any sources for bodhran mp3s out there?

There are some solos in the files section in the bodhranii group at yahoogroups.com, but they’re limited to a minute. The problem I see is that most bodhran solos involve some variation in the tempo, it sounds like you are looking for a nice steady backing rhythm. I am not aware of anything available like that.

As an aside, this may be the first case in history of a whistler actually seeking out a bodhran solo.

Not MP3, but here’s a nice, free metronome program for windows which I like a lot. Multiple poices for percussion, variable speed and you can save a rhythm if you like. The rhythm plays until you want it to stop. I find it a great practice tool! Here’s the URL:

I just recently found a website that offered this EXACT thing. They didn’t have much, but had the different beats. I’m looking for it now, but it looks like I lost it.
I’ll look more and see if I can find it…

I found a “virtual session” here:

But I can’t seem to find that bodhran link!
