Great stuff Bill! Up Skerries! d:-)
Pat.
Bill is AMERICAN! There’s hope for us all!!! Maybe I’m not crazy for considering a move to Ireland.
Bill, great playing and great sounding pipes! Good on ye!
All the best,
How does one open those .SMIL files? None of my media players like them, and I tried four: Windows media player, media player classic, VLC and quicktime.
You need the free version of Real Player - http://www.real.com/realplayer
Oh, okay. Then I won’t be able to hear the programme, as this piece of crap certainly won’t enter my hard drive.
Thanks anyway!
Nice playing Bill. ![]()
Brings back some lovely memories of the Skerries.
Hope to see you again in the fall.

What’s going to happen in the fall?
Miki
A Pub séance at Carrolls Pierhouse where Bill is going to use a quija board to get the correct interpretation of “The Bucks” from Seamus.
So, it’s nothing special.

Thanks everyone! (And thanks to Carol for helping prop me up when she should have been studying.)
The Skerries Festival was a big success; we were lucky to have three great piping instructors, Mick O’Brien, Emmett Gill, and Sean McKeon. John O’Brien and Fionnan Mac Gabhan were featured too.
As for Ceili House…
tk, they asked for 3 minutes of piping so three minutes they got ![]()
Joseph, there’s no cane for you to harvest over here I’m afraid… ![]()
Gabriel, the Helix player isn’t so bad, and it’s FOSS…
Glad it turned out OK on the night… it was pre-recorded but it was definitely recorded ‘live’, you heard me tune the drones at the beginning of the piece- I had about three seconds to do it!
Hope to see some of you in Skerries for next year’s festival. (Sorry, tickets for the séance are sold out.)
Bill
Tease.
Them are chops, baby!

Nicely done, Bill. Admirably filthy sound out of those pipes. Good to hear your voice again.
Tommy Reck played An Casaideach Bán on the Sean Reid tape - track 14. The cassette dubs I got always listed it as “Unknown.” Well worth emulating, that and Pádraic Ó Catháin singing it on the old Grand Airs record, of course.
Bill is in the news again.
This time it is an article in the Irish Times.
