Can’t go to bed without letting you know that Lesley is still fighting and that her heart is stronger - in fact the doctors are amazed! She is obviously not what they expected! I think it is the power of all your thoughts and love: I know I couldn’t have done it for her alone. You can tell how I feel about you all.
I have been with her all day, playing music (mainly CDs as I haven’t felt like playing) and telling her jokes. I know that sounds daft as she is hooked up on all this stuff and still asleep, but she is the most wonderful person to tell jokes to. They just crack her up, and the best thing is that she can never remember them, so they are just as funny the next time round! She can’t tell them, either, because she forgets the punchlines - except once: she had been told one that she found extra funny and wanted to tell me, but I was asleep when she got home. She kept repeating it to herself all night and first thing in the morning told it to me. And I knew it, because she had told me in her sleep! She was so cross.
To kind Missy, who volunteered music: thank you so much. We are all right at present as Lesley has so much dance music, but I promise I will ask if we need it. You are all so kind.
Hoping to have more news of improvement tomorrow.
A very grateful and more optimistic Roland (mr devondancer)
