I have a very stressful profession and I very much look forward to being able to play my flute (yes, it is a transverse flute of the “Irish” variety as well as the Bohem flute, and the pipes). It’s like taking a vacation, and not leaving my music room. Being able to focus on music clears my mind and keeps me sharp/ alert. I’m certain that it has added years to my life. Now, my wife and my pet parrot, Maynard, might not necessarly share my enthusiasm; however, Maynard, as of late, has taken up Irish Step Dancing while I play the flute. ![]()
