Bass G measurements wanted

Can anyone help with pointing me to a site or by giving me the tube lengths, I.D, O.D and finger hole sizes and placements? I want to have a go at making one of these monsters in CPVC. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Mick

Thanks PJ, but I was hoping for something a little more simple. I ain’t the sharpest pencil in the case  . I will try and wrap my head around it though, as it would be most handy to be able to understand that programme.

Mick, you’re in luck. No pencil is needed to use TWCalc.

Daniel provides instructions with TWCalc that explain how the calculator works. They are fairly easy to follow. I have not used TWCalc for anything pitched as low as you want to go but it works well for what I have made - low d to high E. You’re gonna need a big pipe with a bore of maybe 1.25". :astonished: Then the fun begins. I could walk you through the steps via PM or email if you like. Let me know.

You have options other than TWCalc too.

There is a YouTube video, which is quite amusing actually, where Paul Marshall uses a rubberband/elastic to layout the hole spacing using a proportion scheme. Then he cuts a pipe to hit his base note and stretches the eleastic on the pipe to determine the hole positions. Neat!

You could also try the flutomat.

Hope that helps.
