I have two of his flutes and they seem pretty good for a beginner like me, but I don’t know what a more experienced person would think. I wouldn’t recomend to someone with absolutely no flute experience as they do take a fair amount of breath support and it can be hard to get a good tone for the instrument’s entire range. Again, this could be my inexperience. I used to think it was an inherant quality of bamboo instruments, but my apparently very nice bamboo flute of unknown origins (that’s another story) is quite responsive.
I don’t own any of his whitles, but I’ve seen/heard them and they seem pretty nice. If I recall correctly, they have susato mouthpieces, so the volume is pretty good.
