What does everyone think of the bagwhistle. Has anyone tried it? Do you know where I can buy one? I like the idea. I heard about it through one of your members. If anyone has information on this instrument, please post. Thanks

Interesting.
About 10 years ago, my northern CA band threw a schtick together for a show we had at a highland games. We had four shows that day with a decent break after the first two. There were, of course, tons of highland pipers around us the whole time we played. We went home for lunch and devised a piece of humor: the historical ancestor of the bagpipe - “Der Sackenfloete” (ala P.D.Q. Bach).
A black garbage bag with obvious copious duct tape to hold two whistles: on D to be used as a chanter, on which I played Amazing Grace twice before the air ran out, and another one to be fingered as a D by another band member. A third band member had the job of squeezing the already-filled bag.
It worked well and got tons of laughter in response.
If I had it to do over again, I’d add another whistle to be either fingered or taped at G and I’d duct tape a bicycle pump into the bag so that another band member could provide more air.
