Back from Spring Fling with Joanie Madden and Mary Coogan

Hi Everyone,
Michael Burke here.
Just returned Monday night from a wonderful week with Joanie Madden, Mary Coogan and their Dads and I have never had this much fun on a trip before.
A highlight of the trip was going to West Port in Mayo to Matt Malloy’s Pub and
Matt Malloy himself came and played a session in the afternoon with Joanie and Mary and Joe Madden and Mary Coogan and some others in our group.
I couldn’t believe that I was actually sitting in Matt Malloy’s and Matt was there being our host and signing autographs and CDs and it was unforgettable.
We had great music every night too and Joanie and Mary are the best hosts you can imagine with great things planned every single day.
There were 38 of us, I believe on the bus and we made great new friends of all of them. What a great group of people from all walks of life!!
If you can get the money together- I strongly recommend going with Joanie and Mary next year. They know everyone in the TRAD and these people travel distances to play with Joanie and Mary. No way can you get this kind of tour anywhere else.
Well, I am also back to whistle work and trying to finish the new website we launched the day I left.
I appreciate everyone’s patience as we get acquainted with the new software and try to dig out of the backlog we have.
What a great vacation. I am only sorry more people could not have come.

All the best
Mike

Wow, that sounds like the experience of a lifetime, Michael. I wish I could have been there! Oh, and welcome back.

Sounds like loads of fun. I wanted to go, but I cound not.

We considered going, but timing didn’t work out. We’d love to do it some year. I’d feel guilty leaving the kids with my parents, though. Were there families on the trip, by any chance?

Wow! I’ve been wanting to go to Ireland for the past 5 years, and this sounds like just the way to do it! How do I find information about next year’s trip?

Oh, and Mr. Burke…I purchased a brass session D from you at Tionol this year. I love it! I carry it with me all the time. Thank you so much for producing such a loveable whistle.
