Australian PIpers

'all right it’s time us Ozzies get together and hold some form of Tional. Prefurabbly some where half way between WA and Queensland that has a large congregation of pipers who can help put the thing together. I might think Adelaide would be a good place as the Irish Association would more then likely lend us their hall for the evening (or couple of days). We might also be able to tap into NPU funding for such an event. Adelaide also has a a lot of great pipers Jack Brenan being one of them

Any suggestion for venues in SA (or other states) other then the Irish Association. Do you have any ideas for guest pipers? Here’s a list of some that I might suggest:

Mikie Smyth
Paddy Maloney (if we could invite him to give a lesson during a down under tour)
Benedict Koaler
Lyam O’Flynn
Nolaig McCarther

Suggestion of guest pipe makers:

Ian Mackenzie
Adrian Jeffries

Feel free to reply and say what you think about the idea.

Sorry for not responding sooner - I’ve been at work all day, came home, cooked dinner, sold a bed, watched the Simpsons, watched Simpsons, watched Simpsons (Yep Tues nights you get 3 episodes - pretty good for free-to-air-TV), came downstairs to read email and chiff forum and here I am.

Would love to come to a chonal, just can’t come up with the bikkies. Maybe we’ll just have to have it here in Brisbane  Trouble is, Australia being such a biiiggg continent and all (Brisbane - Perth = London - Athens, Greece or NY - LA), kind makes things hard as well.

Cheers,

Hmmm…does he eat eucalypt leaves, or does he do like most other koalers - eats roots and leaves
