I recently got an Aulos Stanesby Jr. Baroque flute, the white one pitched at A=415. I have to say I’m blown away by how great this flute is. Anyone looking for a small holed flute needs to look no further. Of course if you play in sessions the Baroque tuning won’t do. But I’ve been playing along with Jamey Aebersold Jazz play-alongs pitched at C# modern tuning just fine. I’ve got them as MP3’s and use a pitch shifter.
I had the Grenser matte black model at A=440 and was not real happy with it. The Stanesby is way better. Plays easier and sounds better.
Rhythm Band Instruments http://www.rhythmband.com/ sells this flute for $425. It’s the best price I’ve seen for it.
