FS Aulos baroque flute at A=440, matte Grenser copy

I am selling my plastic Aulos baroque flute, Grenser copy, matte finish with a fitted hard case. It plays at A=440. I have another modified by Rod Cameron, so I don’t need two. The matte version is more carefully finished, and plays better than the shiny version.

It plays well, is fully chromatic, but like all baroque flutes, many notes have to be played in tune by changing the embouchure, or rolling the flute in or out/tipping your head up or down, or both. It’s capable of a surprisingly reedy tone, and I had no problems learning ITM on it. Because it’s plastic, it is great for travelling. It’s quiet, so it isn’t a session instrument, unless of course your goal is not to be heard. A good flute to find out if you like the baroque flute.

List price is $447 USD, or 225 UK pounds, but I found one on the web at a discount place for $340.
