April 13th workshop - North West England

Whistle players within easy reach of the North West of England might be interested in a whistle workshop being held on Saturday, 13th April. The workshop is one of a series organised by Folkus, the Folk Arts Network of the North West. The venue for this particular workshop will be Lord Street Primary School, Colne, Lancashire.

Phil Brown normally leads the whistle workshops, but he is not available for this one. Standing in for Phil on this occasion is the brilliant whistle maker and musician, Brian Howard. The workshops are aimed at beginners and last for a full day. Anyone interested to know details of the timetable for the day, please e-mail me.

Whistlers might also like to know that another brilliant whistle maker, Fred Rose, may be at the workshop. Will I be there? All I can say is, possibly.

Hi Mick

If you see Brian, could you tell him I’ve e-mailed and phoned several times since we spoke at Christmas, to get trade prices for full and half pipe sets from him!

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, if I get to the workshop and see Brian, I’ll certainly let him know that you’ve been trying to contact him.
