Does it look like horked-up furballs?
I am not persuaded by the cat ghost photo, either. I do think that the photo is interesting. I can clearly see the two cat eyes and the outline of the nose and head in the larger photo. The child has changed her expression in this photo from previous photos taken at the same time, according to her parent’s report. Could she have seen the ghost image of her cat and now feels sad? That the adults taking the photo didn’t see the cat ghost image while they were taking the photo is no great surprise. Children tend to be more open to this extra-sensory awareness. Film cameras have a way, though, of recording images not seen by the human eye. That the American Psychiatric Association treats paranormal perception as a pathology rather than an advanced ability is not at all helpful in trying to understand these phenomena.
Is that right? That might explain this: I’ll fleetingly see “The Gentry”, turn to look, but of course they turn into shrubs and fire hydrants; then I tell someone about it, and they get all quiet and start edging away. ![]()
Film has a way of showing all types of physical degradation from the moment it is manufactured, add to that handling by the purchaser, abrasion and exposure moving through the camera, removal from the camera, development in chemicals that may or may not be in the best of condition, I can’t see why anyone would accept any unusual object on a film exposure as anything other than a fungus, which happen to love film. On the more serious side ectoplasmic slime is a clear liquid bioelastopolymer, also known as buttbuster slime.
Ew. That is too gnarly by half.
I mean, “physical degradation”, indeed…of course film has a way of showing it. That’s what film does: show stuff. Put away your riding crop and your Nikon, and could we move on to unicorns and buttercups? This is supposed to be a family site.
and jumping back to one of my original beliefs in the “other ghost cat” thread, we should always jump to the conclusion that is the most interesting. Therefore, that is a G-H-O-S-T.
Boo.
