Anyone have any suggestions?

There is this ghost cat that keeps pawing at my leg telling me that Nano is eating all of his cat food. Any suggestions?

I’m just hoping it doesn’t answer to the names of Blinky, Pinky, Inky or Clyde.

I’ve had ghost crabs run across my feet. I’ve seen cats try to catch ghost crabs. I’ve seen cats catch the young of colonial nesting birds. I’ve seen cats in live traps including cats that others have said couldn’t be caught. I have three traps here right now. Going to Minnesota in two weeks, could make up a recipe of ectoplasmic bait, I understand it requires a fair amount of wool.

Feed it. No, not subtle enough.

Sit at the table with the newspaper and a slice of cake with buttercream frosting.

I would advise against the butter-cream until we know this cat’s lactose tolerance. Just saying better safe than sorry.

Ooh, gassy cat. Not good.

Yer ghost cat is lying, Mute. Times may be hard, but kibble just doesn’t do it for me. Do you have any idea how disappointing it is to cook with?

I have, it’s not bad with a no sodium broth. I use a mature cat indoor/hairball formula, haven’t hacked up anything for months. Some of the canned food brands are surprisingly good too, I do stay away from the grocery store brands. There are some nice zoo kibbles available for unusal diets. :pint:

Jeez, ya caught me before the edit. Oh, well. Can’t blame a guy for trying to troll with better bait.

And how exactly did you know which kind of food the ghost cat told me your were eating, if indeed that is the type of food the cat mentioned? There are a few choices. Are you in collusion with this cat? What more do you know Nano? I think everyone would like to know.

ps. I’m not fond of cake but buttercream icing on a spoon would be a nice treat.

Ohhhhh, you got me. I be hoist with my own petard.

Umm, yeah. Anyway. Well, what do you think a ghost cat eats? Angel food cake, fercryinoutloud?

Goulash.

By the way, isn’t this a meta-thread? Aren’t I supposed to lock those? I haven’t done a lock in a good long while.

I’m just sayin’.

That was totally out loud. Good thing I’d swallowed my coffee.

My wife, a weaver, used meta-threads once but prefers natural fibers. The selvage locks the thread.

One of you is a baker, too, because you’re on a roll.

Gawd. That stank.

Fearing that the ghost cat might starve, I Googled “ghost mouse”, and would you believe it? Here it is: GhostMouse.

It doesn’t seem appetizing, though, much less like food for the soul. Ahem.

I searched for “cat ghost” and got this:

The ears are one and the same with the markings on the floor. I’m less than persuaded, I have to say.

Sincerely,

[EDIT: What I think is creepy is that little girl with the mail slot in her face. What kind of sick aliens are these??]

Ghost cats leave ectoplasmic slime. On a vinyl floor this would be dangerous, let’s hope someone had the sense to clean it up. Our house is always a bit of a mess as we have both ghost cats and ghost dogs plus real cats and real dogs. Always getting into it, hard to tell whose mess is whose. We have rugs though so it’s all good. Usually have to pre-treat the ectoplasmic slime to get it to come out in the wash, I Shout it out with a sign of the cross just in case.
