Hello All,
Great forum!! Really interested in learning the UP’s. Does anyone know of any U pipers in AK? Also are there any good resources out there for finding a used practice or half set in good condition?
Best Regards,

there was a guy that played pipes and his girlfreind that played fiddle that was at the 2004 Seattle and so Cal Tionols. Nice folks and good players. anyone out there remember???
Well, I was at the 2004 Socal Tionol, and so was my girlfriend, however, she was never at the Seattle Tionol.
I was, however, travelling to Seattle with Henry Hopkins, the esteemed german living In Juneau. I never considered him to be my girlfriend, but what strange impressions people get sometimes!
Benjamin.
The Alaskan Uilleann piping population consists as such;
Henry Hopkins, Natsuko, and Rob Mcmann in Juneau,
I am living in Anchorage. Just moved here.
As far as I know, there are no other uilleann pipers in the state, but there are a number of people with sets who gave up but would never sell thier sets to me in spite of thier inactivity.
I have started another fellow on the pipes, and can give you some advice on instruments, ect, if you desire.
