Tommy - first have a complete physical (or if you are talking about someone else, have THEM have a physical).
Snoring can be caused by many things, some of which CAN be quite serious health wise. So it’s always good to make sure you are just talking about snoring that just a pain to the other sleeper.
Once that’s taken care of -
Sleeping position does contribute. I’ve seen ideas such as sewing tennis balls into the back of a tshirt to prevent the sleeper from laying on their back. Sometimes elevating the head helps.
Those “Breath Rite” strips (the little bandaid like things) do help by opening up the nasal passage.
If the person is heavy, sometimes loosing weight can help.
I know I snore when my allergies are bad.
If worse comes to worse - separate rooms???

More seriously try some vicks vaporub or something similar to clear the airways while you sleep. Some people also say those strips you put over your nose that athletes wear do a good job.

In MY case, snoring is due to mild apnea and I have a CPAP machine. So the recommendation I’d make is to see a doctor. I had to have a sleep study at a sleep center and then get a machine. It’s painless and not horrible inconvenient. And I find the positive pressure helps when I’m mildly congested from a cold.
