Yet another whistle must go, this time it’s my Dark Blue anodized (or anodised, depending on where you live) Soprano D whistle.
I don’t really need to talk this whistle up, it’s an Overton after all, however I will say this particular whistle has a bit more of a “Husky” voice to it than the standard, and it sounds like a bigger whistle. That last bit is hard to describe I suppose…but it has nothing to do with the tuning, which is accurate to D. Rather, the whistle has a bit of a deeper, rounder tone, with less shrillness I suppose.
This isn’t just my observation btw, I used to have three Overton High D’s, and everyone who heard or played them side by side felt this Dark Blue was the biggest and deepest sounding.
I’m asking $130 pus shipping.

Weeeeeee! Free ride to the top, this is almost as good as an amusement park ride!!!
Thanks Gary!
Can’t believe no one has snapped this beauty up yet. Hmm, everyone must be going to Tonder to buy Their whistles directly from Colin and Brigitte this weekend
Some of us are in the middle of moving to a first house, committing too much money to a lathe to (attempt to) make our instruments with, and will consider spending that kind of money on a whistle iff it’s still around -after- the first of September when budgets become clearer.
On the other hand, it sounds nice! Err, sounds as if it sounds nice, err, reads as if it looks and sounds… uhm. Photos?
