The Toronto Globe and Mail is reporting today on the front page that an active mind could prevent Alzheimers.

We should promote tin whistle playing for health and longevity.

Mark

Just watch out for those aluminum whistles…

There is also now considerable evidence
that people who regularly take
Ibuprofen are at greatly reduced risk.

Amidst the stressful North American pace of life, artistic expression (in the case of this forum, through whistle playing) not only challenges the mind to be active, but helps to release built up tension and anxiety. As you point out, Mark, the results are better health and increased longevity (I suspect even for (shudder & shake) Recorder players).

Maybe it’s true that recorder players
also are protected from Alzheimers,
but consider the side effects!
