6 Disorders of Sleep

A new book of poems of mine, 6 Disorders of Sleep, is out from Flutter

Press. It’s a little book, 22 pages. It’s what’s called a “chapbook” in the poetry biz. (The “poetry business” is an oxymoron, of course.)

Thanks!

Dale

many of the best morons are

I diagnose and treat sleep disorders. Not much of poet, though.

I have a sleep disorder or two.

Congratulations on the book!

BTW, after you reach a certain age, you get to enjoy what I’ve heard called Age-enhanced Reading. For example, a cursory glance at the title of the post was decoded as 6 disorders of sheep. One of those disorders being hoof-and-mouth disease, I suppose, and another is the tendency of lambs to disrupt classrooms… :tomato:

With best regards.

All you gotta do, Doc, is stand around and say pavor nocturnus. That’s poetry enough.

While y’all are saving up $6 to buy the book, here’s a short poem by me:

Does it include PLMD? A sleep study recently revealed that I have this disorder, otherwise quaintly known as "Jimmy leg)

Yep, it’s the 2nd most common sleep disorder after sleep apnea. I don’t want to get medical and break any rules, so feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Oh, thanks. It’s poetry. And it’s me. So, my goal is for sales to reach the a double-digit number.

What? 2?

Lulu is just fine, but what about a signed copy?

No. I’m aiming high. 11. And I’ve already bought 10 copies so I’m hopeful.

Sure. I’ll be glad to send you a signed copy. Email me your mailing address.

Well then, I pushed you over the top 'cause I bought one.

I liked it so much I read it in one sitting! :stuck_out_tongue:

I really did like it Dale. I’m not a huge poetry fan in general. I find a lot of it so self centered that I just wanna say “Whatever…”
I found your poems deceptively simple but thought provoking. My plan is to let them simmer in my brain for a while, then revisit them, maybe one at a time. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Paul. Your discerning tastes are exactly why you’ve been the official C&F nurse/podiatrist/unlicensed attorney/and whistlemaker for 15 years.
