I am looking for a 1/2 set of uilleann key of C or D pipes. Anyone with a set for sale can email me at jjkanuck@yahoo.com .. Please include all the details of the instrument , pictures sound file would be nice if possible, case, accessories , etc etc Price you would want for the set.
Also want the set to be fairly friendly when I open the box and go to give them a blow.. ; - ) .. Do you think that’s possible ??? ; = )

Please, keep us informed on how that goes. Do not be discouraged! It’s just that every time I’ve bought a chanter (about 10) or a set (about 4) that the seller provides it with no reed, or packs the reed so it is sure to be damaged in transit. No Uilleann pipe item I have ever received (in the less than 3 years I’ve been playing) has arrived in even remotely playable condition.
That said, everything I’ve sent to Brazenkaine to be reeded has come back playing beautifully. There are other great reedmakers on this forum as well, so while you might acquire a set that plays “out of the box”, my experience is that it will have to be sent out to have reeds made by someone with “the touch” that can channel the likes of Leo, Seamas or Willie.

Wow Jeff, that is some rough luck. I have yet to have a bad playability experience from any set or chanter I have purchased.
These things vary, of course. But there is one constant, if you have never played UPs then it won’t matter much how well the set plays out of the box, you won’t be able to play it at first.
