I’ve seen people asking if wooden Seery’s are available - well here’s one that I came across during my regular Ebay trawling. Only the starting bid so far, and only 2 days to go - could be a bargain for someone.
It doesn’t look like his normal Pratten version with all the finger holes on one piece - the foot joint is integral with the bottom 3 holes. Not dissimilar to a Williams that I recently saw.
I just want to point out that I’ve never seen a Seery that looks like this. I did receive an email inquiry to which I responded thusly, and the seller suggested it was a very old model. All I can tell you is that Desi makes flutes based on a Pratten style made by Hudson. Pictures of his current models are displayed at http://www.worldtrad.org/Seery/
The flute is genuine. I know 'cause I’m the one selling it! It’s ten years old, no cracks or splits and plays beautifully. As long as it goes to a good home and gets played regularly I’ll be happy
Man alive – what’s that flute in the middle of the picture of seven on Seery’s website?? It looks like zebrawood or very light bocote or the lightest damn mopane I ever saw. Absolutely gorgeous!
