FYI…I’ve listed a Dave Williams 5-key flute on eBay.
You may recall that this flute is owned and used often by board member and flutemaker David Copley.
thanks

I looked for it and couldn’t find it. Can someone who has better luck than i provide the link.
thanks

It must have just not shown up in the searchable listings yet. A search for “williams flute” now gets it, as does one for Item 2579613859 .

I believe the ‘missing key’ is C natural.
Any info on the reason for the tenon replacement, and how the repair was performed?
Kevin Krell
I found a hairline crack in the tenon when I was re-corking it. I did a “tenon graft” which is the standard replacement for woodwind tenons. I machined off the old tenon and counterbored the body. Then I glued in the new delrin tenon and re-finished the inside to eliminate any “step”. You would have to look quite closely to detect the repair.

i was gonna answer…but why not let the owner/master, right?
thanks, dave…that likely should take care of kevin’s query. I couldn’t (of course) have done better!
