Whoohoo, must be making progress, I just noticed that....

… my husband hasn’t put his headphones on while I was playing/practising a couple of tunes on my whistle. So I must be making some sort of progress

Either that or he’s gone deaf or become immune to the whistle playing.

Just wanted to share my excitement

You are ready to go on tour. Start the bus.

i just got asked to go outside yesterday, so i rejoice in your achievement.

cheers,
eric

Good for you! Here’s the next step – you’ll notice him humming one of your tunes.

The ultimate though, is when you get, “What was that last tune called?” :sunglasses:

When I started learning bagpipes I used the practice chanter, which sounds kind of like a cross between a kazoo and a duck. My wife used to complain about it. Then I started playing the highland bagpipes and she no longer complains about the practice chanter.

The moral of this story is that if one’s spouse complains about a little tin-whistle, the solution is to learn great highland bagpipes. Either that, or drums! :smiling_imp:

I keep getting ‘Bugger! I’ve got one of your bloody tunes going round and round in my head driving me mad.’

I’ve also been told not to practice certain tunes when she’s in the house 'cos she’s bored rigid by them now. :astonished:

My partner is out of here, for a few hours.

I’m whistling a happy and unfettered tune.

When she comes home…

…all will be quiet.
