I have this posted on the whistle board but thought
I should post it here as well.
Shaw soprano D
Shaw A
Elton flageolet C - I picked this up on ebay a while back. It is an aluminum whistle
with a black plastic fipple block. It comes in its original cardboard box with instructions.
It is in like new condition, shines like chrome and is the lightest whistle I have ever seen.
It is quite attractive, unfortunately it is quiet and airy. I think a tuneup on the windway,
like Jerry Freeman does on his Shaws would greatly improve this whistle.
(NOTE: these Shaws have not been tweaked).
I will sell this group as one lot for $45 including shipping and insurance.
I have a Hall Crystal Flute with ivy pattern in D, about 22 inches long, in good shape that

The festival takes place the first weekend in May. Depending on when you were here last, things are probably a lot different. They no longer have the festival all the way thru town. It is now only located in two parks. That has helped the traffic situation but it has lowered attendance quite a bit.
No, I’ve never tried playing the whistle to cajun music. As a transplanted Illinoisan, I must admit (whisper… i don’t even like cajun music!!!).
Hunter Hayes grandfather is my neighbor… that kid does have talent!
Innerestin. As a real, dyed in the wool, born in La. cajun, I must say that I did not like it much either while I was down there. It goes down better with a few beers, which are/were never very far away in cajun country.
I just fondly remember the food, the drinks, and the general party atmosphere that once pervaded the place.
