Whistle Tech Talk is now WTT and names are changing

After chatting with a few, including ErikT with input from Amar, and some emails, I’ve decided to change the titles of those “Whistle Tech Talk #…” threads to “WTT #…” to make them easier to search for. Since I’ll just be editing the names, I don’t think it’ll automagically pop 'em back up, so if you want to use the Search function, remember to look for WTT rather than the full name!

Thanks to all who suggested and supported the idea. I think it’s great!

Get ready for the newbies to ask “What does WTT mean?”

would you consider ‘Tech Talk’ ?

Hi, Tony! Yeah, we thought of that, but I wanted to differentiate instruments and keep it short, too. Also, it was observed that, if the title beyond “WTT” is sufficiently explicit as to the subject du post, it’ll speak for itself. The 3-letter preface makes for easy searching, and it should only take a newbie a time or two to figger it out. I hope…
Thanks for the input!

Just put WWT=Whistle Tech Talk on the first message of the thread - maybe that will answer all the newbie questions.

Well, there’s always the bogus “Whistle Tech Talk #5 - getoutofit!!” or whatever. I doubt whatzisname that started it will bother to change it to match WTT, so we can post pointers there! So far, it’s been a pretty cool thread. (I really must try harder to remember the names of people who try so hard to shut me up…) (LOL)

Bill, please don’t shut up and let out all your trade secrets

Hi, Caoimhin! First of all, as has been observed by many, both pro and con, I almost never shut up! Second, I have absolutely no “trade secrets”. If I do it and it works for me, you’ll hear about it here. And if it doesn’t work, I’ll ask about it here, too, to find out why, and what will work in it’s place!
Cheers, and a tip o’ the hat to madguy, who’s probably done more to keep the WTT threads alive than almost anyone!

Sheesh all this WTT all the time.

Why don’t you start your own bloody forum?

LOL.

Ah Bloomfield, always trying to keep yer numbers up… Leave em be!

My question is this: anybody out there interested in being the American O"Briain guy?

In other words, I don’t anticipate having the time nor inclination to tweak my cheapies but I sure have a bunch of em.

Maybe someone would like to start doing it here and we could send em with a check or something?? None of us want to see a whistle go to waste but I will never, I repeat, never cut up guitar picks etc when i could be whistling…Life’s too short for the old Weekender. But I know some of you enjoy it, especially considering the cheap whistle thread thats up right now..

And I am glad Serpent has organized whistle tech stuff. I can’t keep up with it but many here are such tinkerers that I know he’ll get tons of hits.
