My friend claims it actually makes the upper registers stronger, but I’ve definately not experienced that. shrug

I played a C foot joint for many years, before spending a few years playing flutes with a B foot joint. Bottom line: It just was not for me. I kept going back to a C foot joint.
My daily driver has “open” keys, and an inline mechanism, but I have some objections to these features, and once this flute’s mechanism is fully worn out, the next flute will not have them. However, I am not rushing this process, for a fully loose, completely broken in mechanism (slick!) can be as nice to play as wearing a favorite pair of shoes. ![]()
