What's in your cabinet?

Fishie, you left off the Don Julio 1942. If you haven’t tried it, you’re in for a treat. Be warned, 1942 is very top-shelf and the price reflects that. For 95% of the taste at 20% of the cost, try Don Julio Anejo. That’s the one I keep in my cabinet.

I’ve drunk too much. I’m seeing double.

Black Bush, Tully, Jameson on a regular day.

I’ve had a go at a dozen different single malts and find them interesting, but not what I want to drink on a regular basis. For anyone who is interested in an ENORMOUS variety of scotches waiting to be sampled, try Ye Olde English Inn’s Pickwick’s Pub in Stowe. I think they had over 70 different varieties, and a very knowledgeable bartender.

I tried Laphoaig at the bar at Bishop’s Lodge in Santa Fe, NM and though I was sucking on a bog. I think I want more of a smoky flavor.

But for absolute relaxation at home, just a nice glass of sherry ,thank you.

We drank 150+ year old Madeira when my mother in law passed away. It was incredible stuff…but we polished off the bottle between the seven of us, and I don’t think we’ll find its like on the package store shelves.

‘For relaxing times, make it Suntory time’

Just wine, usually Chardonnay or Pinot grigio.
And actually, it’s in the refrigerator.
Tea is in the cabinet.

I just like everything period. Actually up until earlier tonight I didn’t know how much I liked Gin. Knob Creek Bourbon which somebody mentioned before will f*ck you up it is a 100 proof I got drunk on it a lot this week actually. I prefer the Irish whiskey I think bourbon is usually gross and Canadian Whiskey is too rough and I am not really a Scotch guy especially not the somky stuff.

Jameson, that is my answer and I am sticking to it.

This was me earlier tonight :pint:

Where do you keep the scones?

Actually, the girls often make vegan chocolate chip or blueberry scones,
but you don’t keep them anywhere because they get eaten too fast.

Gin and I have not been on speaking terms since about 1987.

As for what’s in my cupboard, I’m not sure since I’m not the one drinking it these days. I do know that I have some St. Brendans in there somewhere (Irish Cream…good in coffee), and I think a bottle of fake tequila (it’s the el cheapo stuff, so it’s not made with the blue agava that the good stuff is made from). Other than that, I think the whiskEy is gone (which I believe was Jamesons).
So now I’m with emm…I have a cupboard full of tea. Oh, and I also have some store brand Oreo type cookies. But technically they’re not for me

I had that experience with Ouzo in college. Still can’t even bear the smell.

I used to know a girl named Gin. I think her name was Virginia, but I don’t know for sure.

I don’t think me and cheap tequila should be on speaking terms nasty nasty stuff I almost puked after a shot of that last night. Yes, I had quite a night last night shots in this order in about 10 minutes Tanquery Gin, Crown Royal Whiskey (I prefer Jameson but I hadn’t tried that pure yet way too rough), Absolut Vodka, Cheap Tequila, and Bacardi Black then later while at a resturant with some friends one of mine friends talked the waiter into giving me a Rum and Coke  he said it was my 21st birthday and that is why I was so wasted already and at this point in time I couldn’t walk a line to save my life. Yet I remember the whole night and only had a slight hang over. I was actually hoping I would have forgoten some of the stuff I did but I didn’t.
