imitation ivory comes from an imitation elephant or walrus. Though scientists have yet to prove it’s existence, there is no such thing as an imitation rhinoceros.
(something irish),

Tagua nut tends to darken significantly over time. I am told it can also suffer from splitting. Animal horn is also known to be unstable over time. The faux ivories made of plastic can be very good quality in appearance and more than adequately fill the bill.
I hope my pipemaker is not reading this, but I would like to cast my own mounts with this stuff, one time
does it look like ‘between ivory and boxwood’
or is it white?
Since the mounts aren’t structural you probably won’t have any problems bonding parts together but the usual rule is: If it’s epoxy based use epoxy. The same thing goes for Polyester resin… use polyester to bond to polyester.
