Have you any idea, What is its brand? Thanks
It looks like an Overton (now Goldie). But a genuine Overton should have the “Overton” name stamped on it.
(Bienvenu chez nous, tu écris anglais très bien !)
Hi,
this would be a very old Bernard Overton Low D with what looks like a damaged mouth-piece. The left-over of the sticker could be the Walton’s sticker from the times before Bernard was stamping his whistles, actually it was the reason why Bernard started stamping the whistles with his name. It looks like a big hole model similar to the one Davy Spillane would have played.
Greetings
Brigitte
Well, there you have it. Direct from the kitty’s mouth.
( Hi Brigitte! )
Does the OP know who Brigitte is, though? Perhaps the source of her authority on on this matter should be made plain?
(Hi from me too, Brigitte.)
… sometimes lately I am not sure who or what I am myself
so much going on here with the renovation and outbuilding of the new house… yes, we are still working on it and no, I am not sure how much longer, getting a bit frightened to take any dates in my mouth since my original estimation for us moving in was January/February… unexpected things come up when you want to move in a 160+ year old house
@smashou, sorry for not introducing myself, I am Colin Goldie’s spouse…
Greetings from a sunny Germany
Brigitte
Wow, what an education! I love this forum.

Brigitte: Thanks you for the answer, now i know the origin of this Low whistle
EDIT: For some persons, the whistle of Spillane is a Howard…What you think about this?
Anyway i’ve made this little video, you can hear the low whistle.
