What is the kind of the flute?

In this clip in minute 6:29 there is a sound of a flute if you can tell me what is the kind I’ll be glad

Sounds like a tin whistle to me - with a bit of electronical make-up…

I would say that is synthetic. It sounds like a keyboard to me.

I’ll vote with Tim, keyboard pretending whistle

Who’s the singer? I have to skip to the 6:29 mark or I’ll forget the initial reason why I’m watching the video…

But I think it does sound like an actual fipple flute of some kind. It’s a sample if it’s not live.

Thanks guys

I didn’t have a clue it’s a whistle flute I’ve found an image of it I wonder if the sound will be nice

Hey Aaron!

Hehe is that mean that you liked or didn’t like the singer?

The singer is Rita from Israel she is the most famous singer in Israel.

I’m not a big fan of pop music but I liked watching her.

Mika,
from all your previous postings I do get the impression that you have a special liking for sounds that you don’t get natural.
The picture you posted is the “Clarke Sweetone” Whistle, which will certainly give you a nice sound but probably not what you are looking for.
I was on that same train myself some 15 years ago, I wasn’t too happy with the sound of my uilleann pipes, and I asked Davy Spillane what chanter I would need to get a sound like he had. His answer was “any chanter can do that, what you need is the graphic equalizer”…
I suggest you should concentrate on listening to hand-made music rather than electronic pop - unless you consider playing the keyboard - and then decide, which natural sound of wind instrument you like, or else you will always be unhappy with whatever sound you will produce from whatever flute in the world.
Sorry, I’m not meaning to disappoint you…

Hey Aaron you’re not the only one

Hey Michael thanks for your opinion to tell you the truth unfortunately I’m not getting to hear the natural sound of flutes in music that I hear. Wherever I get to hear sound that I like I believe it’s a more ethnic style I ask here so I’ll know what kind of instrument it was. I’m looking for a very deep and rich sound- in the beginning I thought about a pan flute but as it impossible to get it here I keep in my “research” for a flute that I’ll really enjoy of.

I have other images of Flutes that I Found and I’ll be glad to get an opinion about them
I’ll write about it in new message.

All the best

Actually, you don’t need to learn keyboards for that special electronic sound. There are electronic “wind” instruments out there, usually a practice version of a given “real” one, eg recorder, bagpipe, whatever, some models have multiple settings, with correspondingly multiple fingering options. And depending on what equipment you run them through, you can get an endless variety of sounds coming out.
